Single strand cable anchors

The advantage of cable anchors is that they can adapt to variations of up to 30° in the angle of pull in relation to the axis of drilling, without any loss of strength.

For an equal diameter, spiral cable anchors have a greater tensile strength than anchor bars, while forces can vary in direction in relation to the axis of drilling.

AVAROC markets high-protection anchor cables:

• The outer loop of the cable is inserted in a tube, offering greater mechanical protection.
• The ends of the tube are embedded in cement during the grouting operation, ensuring that they are watertight.
• The cables are of single-strand type with large-diameter wires that ensure greater adhesion during galvanisation (260 g/m2).
• Centring devices mounted in the factory ensure that the anchor is perfectly positioned in the drill hole, making it easier for grout to cover the cables.
