Snow rakes and snow bridges

These are solid frame-type structures installed in avalanche starting zones and intended to hold the snow mantle. Rakes are modules made of Corten, raw steel or galvanised steel.

Rakes have a panel in contact with the snow mantle made of vertical slats, while snow bridges have horizontal slats. Installed in lines on the hillside, these structures prevent the slow movement of snow over the entire depth of the mantle.

They are recommended for slopes varying from 70 to 120%.

Snow rakes and bridges are flexible to assemble and adjust, making installation economical. They are pre-assembled and each module is carried to the site by helicopter. In addition, their telescopic struts mean that they can be adjusted to fit any ground configuration.

They can hold snow layers 2 to 5 m thick.

These structures comply with French standard NFP 95-303 or Swiss directives WSL / FNP.
