Contract description: On "La Réunion island", the "Route des Tamarins" has been built as an alternative road to the coastal road RN1. The "Route des Tamarins" is also aimed to allow a new regional development. On the Saint-Paul viaduct, our goal was to protect both the jobsite during the construction of the viaduct and the viaduct itself once it has been finished. For this project, AVAROC supplied the ring nets which had to be in accordance with the client requirements in terms of performance:
- Protection against corrosion :
At minimum, galvanisation "class A" as described in the norm NF-EN-10244-2
- Technical performance of the net :
We were asked to supply the results from tests conducted to determine both breaking load of 1 ring and the breaking load of a chain composed of 3 interlaced rings.
Breaking load of 1 ring: must be higher than 330kN Breaking load of 3 interlaced rings: must be higher than 190kN
- Nets weight:
Maximum weight of 1 net: 850kg
Minimum dimensions: width: 4.90m / length: 10.0m
